Two months are left to start the academic year 2007-2008.
so today I decided to go back to Montreal, and put everything in order to start the count down to go to Oulu University, Finland as a exchange student in the program of Scandinavian Studies.
a long list of shores awaits me.
1. buy air ticket
2. apply for a resident permit
3. put together some cash
4. get travel and health insurances
5. phone number lists and contact information in case of need.
6. practice my written English and English/French translation skills(you never know)
7. get familiar with Finnish languages (totally different from French/English/Spanish languages)
8 pay credit cards and tuitions fees
Hope this "Bitacora" helps me to put some order to my plans.
At first sight It might be difficult to conceive why going to such a further up location? Well I don't have a logical answer but my own wish.
one reason is the small population. I have learned that I do quite well in small communities; second travel around Europe, as a first world country citizen one could take for granted that travel around is on the ado's list, But not always it is a matter of decision, be able to face a totally new culture might helps open a wider perspective of community in a global world, a sense that may not agree with the north American ways. But in order to confirm this point of view I need to be out my country, and be able to experience what now it's just on paper.
Life in action, life on the move, to learn and comprehend others ways in life.
maybe I'm expecting too much, the only way to figure it out is keep on going.
